How to Care for Your Suede Bag Clean the suede with a soft, dry suede brush, brushing gently in the direction of the nap. Remove minor spots with a specialized rubber suede eraser. Protect from rain and cosmetics, and treat with a water-repellent protector spray every few months. Wipe the leather handles with a dry, soft cloth, applying a neutral leather conditioner to the leather as needed while avoiding contact with the suede. If water touches the suede, gently blot with an absorbent cloth, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat, and restore the nap with a suede brush. Store in its dust bag, filled with tissue paper inside.
