The atelier
Our atelier stands in Horodok, near Lviv. Every Poelle piece is made there, slowly and by hand, from paper patterns we keep in our archive.
Est. 2021
We work in small batches, so every bag passes through the same few pairs of hands.
Pattern, cutting, paring, stitching, edges and the final press — all under one roof.
The process
From paper to leather

[01] Pattern
Every shape starts as a paper pattern, marked by hand.

[02] Leather
We choose each hide by touch and smooth it flat before the first cut.

[03] Cutting
Each part is cut by hand along the pattern.

[04] Paring
Edges are pared thin with a knife, so the seams lie flat.

[05] Signature
The Poelle mark is pressed in gold foil, one piece at a time.
